Beginners Powerlifting Competition
This is the perfect event for those who haven’t competed before!
Why enter a beginners comp?
- To take the pressure out that we may see with the bigger sanctioned meets
- Gives everybody who trains SBD the oppurtunity to test their maxes in a competition setting
- No need for approved equipment, lift in your regular training gear!
- Gain the experience of the platform and having a fun day with your friends!

Competition Information :
Venue : Strength Club Perth
- IPF based rules ( no soft suit or approved equipment needed, sleeves only )
- Same day weigh in ( weigh in and lifting schedule released 24th March )
- 2 sessions ( morning and afternoon )
- $5 spectator fee purchased at the door ( live stream will be available for free )
Tickets are strictly non-refundable, you may transfer your ticket to someone else

- Classic, Equipped and Bench Only available
- IPF approved equipment needed
- Can be used to qualify for 2025 APA Nationals Series (via qualifying total)
- MAX 112 athletes
- Beginners welcome – get in contact with your questions or any help preparing for the meet!
Competition Information :
Venue : Strength Club Perth

- Schedule is released after entries close
- If entries exceed 84 lifters then event moves to 2 days (May 11th & 12th)

Australian Powerlifting Alliance Invitational meet
Details :
- Our premier invite-only meet where we invite the best of the best in WA to battle it out
- 10 women & 10 men
- All money raised for this event goes back to the athletes via prize money
- Can be used to qualify for 2025 APA Nationals Series (via qualifying total)

Venue : External Theatre venue (north of river) TBA
- Athletes will be announced via our instagram
- Doors open 5:30pm / lifting starts 6pm
